"de woongroep"

It is not May yet (see reported at post) and someone has already shown interest for my house at the "woongroep"(“woongroepen”are co-housing projects: two or more people are living together in one house (at one adres)). Even the advertisement is not yet on the site of the woongroepenwinkel. Also Paul got an e-mail from someone who might rent his house (see reported at post). It is a strange definite feeling, no dreams and fantasising any more, is a hard landing on earth :-)

So, I leave the "woongroep", which is like a family. Piet(44) and Rien(50) are also real family. The men are brothers and they know Anda(47) already more than 15 years. From experience Anda, Piet and Rien know that it is not simple to find a new groupmember. It is therefore a complete surprise that someone has already show interest and like to participate in the procedure(eating together and staying a night) to pass through. After this everything is possible, the group or participant can decide anything.

My beautiful house is situated in district Kralingen, Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Only 15 minutes on bicycle from the centre of the city and the central station, easy to reach with public transport and car(free parking). The house, third floor, has a living room(approx.9x5m), bedroom(approx.5x5m) and toilet, a shared kitchen and bathroom. The sauna and dinning room are on fourth floor. Today I was thinking of Diënne. Admiration I have for her. Diënne is a girlfriend and she has left in November previous year with her bicycle and her Coen from Rotterdam to Beijing(China) but first they went to Cape Town(South Africa). Her last reported came from Morocco and that was 2 weeks ago. Admiration I for her perseverance and her fresh look on living. I miss her always laughing face. Where I do not envy her and even find it difficult is her way of travelling. On the bicycle very well, but every evening knock at peoples door for a sleep spot and for 2 euro 50 a day round the world is not my way of travelling. Now I realise that I her perhaps does not see her for a few years, but there remains always possibility to visit her somewhere. Previous year we have done the marathon preparations together, we saw each other almost daily. On Tuesday evening together in the sauna where we talked about our dreams, plans and men. Diënne met Coen and her dream has be come reality and on my path came Paul.

Around the turn of the year 2005-2006 Paul and I visit, Diënne and Coen in Madrid. We had a great time. I was filled up with art. The large famous museums beside numerous nice galeries.

Madrid was the second time that Paul and I could practise with travelling together. The first time was Istanbul. A citytrip is of course of no comparison with a travelling around the the world. But together travelling pleases us very well. It goes very natural and it feels good. Our interests is for a large part in same the area; art, but my hard beats faster of a good painting then of good video.

In May or June our is next trip. For now it will be a month Saint Petersburg. In Saint Petersburg I will work a month in a artist in residency and I hope to learn the Russian language.
