on our way

The exhibition at Kanoria Centre for Arts was a success and the paintings are on his way to the Netherlands. Dutch customs thought they are on the trail of a big Indian art robbery, so they checked the parcel. Disappointed they announced that Rolina had to pay 45 Euro for there search.......... At the same time we where on our way to Mumbai to apply for a new passport. Shweta, also a friend from Kanoria, offered us an apartment including driver in Mumbai :-). Rocky, drove us to the apartment and the Dutch embassy and everything went very smooth........ till the evening of departure to Goa. The rain made traffic almost impossible so our Rocky had some delay. We where stressed and thought we would miss our train. For the first time I was happy with the announcement that the train had a delay from 2 hours :-).

the search for...

View days before we left Ahmedabad we forgot our bag in a rickshaw. Panic!!! Besides the usually electronic stuff like mobile phone, i-pod, digital photo camera and a lot of money, Rolina lost her passport and bank passes. We intend to spend a lot of money in this country with a lot of poverty, and so we succeed :-). Of course we hoped the rickshaw driver would bring us the bag the following morning. He didn’t, so now we hope he is a Hindu with enough bad karma to get reborn as a rat :-). Again we had the opportunity to experience some governmental bureaucratic procedures and went from one police office to another, dealing with typewriting and even handwritten declarations. It just took one day, so not worse at all :-). Through our contact with the Holland Business Support Office we came in contact with a police officer who wanted to help us finding our rickshaw driver. In cooperation with some leading rickshaw drivers, I and Nilesh, a friend from Kanoria, started the hunt for our bag :-). Besides that it was not a very hopefully enterprise, the monsoon just arrived. Children where playing and dancing in the rain and I just tried to stay a bit dry :-). Just when I wondered how I would keep my wallet dry, they reach me a plastic back. Time to quit this search adventure :-).
