Since I do not stay in the Netherlands in 2007, and it sees to that my paintings are stored away for a year unseen I desided to have my paintings in rent.

With my work I want reach as many people as possible. I wanted to be seen even when I am not in the possibility to organise an exhibition in the Netherlands in 2007. It is in my intention to have almost all my paintings in rent next year. I want to give people, who are captivated and touched by my work and other art-lovers, the possibility to enjoy my art for a year and have a painting in possession for a small compensation.

An other reason for which I had this renting idea is simply a contribution for my trip. During our travel I will not have any income and live from my savings. By having my paintings in rent I will have extra money to spend what I will invest in my work such as; the costs of the artist in residency, material costs and organising exhibitions and projects in association with artists/organisations in the country where we stay.

I have considered a nice regulation where it is possible to rent a painting, for a small amount per month, and save the complete hiring amount of the painting.
