georgia

From Turkey we entered Georgia, on first site it looks like a very depressing country. If you take a better look you see that this country was once a great place to live, and hopefully will be in the near future. I saw pictures from Georgia during the Soviet period and have to admit, it looked much better in those days. Freedom took his price! Like many former Soviet countries it seems that communism is replaced by religion. Maybe freedom is too hard to handle? Anyway, I spend a great part of my time in Georgia trying to sell my car and went from one office to an other with the help from Rezo from Art Villa Garikula. Finally we managed to get it done and I sold the car to Giorgi from the homstay in Kutaisi, where we spent one night. Now we can travel further as backpackers :-). Rolina spend most of the time in Georgia working in Art Villa Garikula and produced one painting after another with in between some artistic crises :-). The paintings where presented at Art Villa Garikula at the end of the residence period and will be send to The Netherlands where they will be exhibited in the beginning of 2008.
