After thirty treatments consisting neck pulling, getting electrified and her skin covered with needles, Rolina is almost cured. To celebrate this happening we accompanied Molly (owner of highland gale) and two of her staff to there village, a five hour bus ride and a steep mountain hill from Lijiang. Off course this was not enough to compensate a month of resting, so a twelve-hour day walk had to do the thing. A beautiful walk that even got exciting when we went back in the dark on a path that I couldn’t recognize as one. Our guides didn’t have this problem even after consuming some beers :-). The village will be one of the places that will be visit during an upcoming exchange between the dancers from highland gale and a Dutch group of youngsters. The exchange will take place in the summer and winter of 2008; so back to China then :-).
